Facilities Manager - MOD St Athan - Barry
* £30000 per annum
* 40 Hours per week

Person Specification
Essential
* Proven experience in managing successful teams and operating in a highly commercial Soft FM environment with great results.
* Experience with working and knowledge of waste.
* Single or multi-site operational experience in a similar role with an understanding of delivering services to exacting specifications within quality and performance management regimes.
* Previous budget management and Profit & Loss account responsibility.
* Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
* I.T & computer literate as well as contribution to web-based communications media.
* Excellent customer service qualities and high principles in service delivery.
* Demonstrate commercial awareness and price sensitive markets.
* Collaborative mindset.
* Ability to manage and motivate people.
* A good team player.
* Able to exercise a good deal of tact and diplomacy with a professional approach.
* Suitable background for government clearances.
* Integrity – Respects colleagues & customers.
* Health & Safety – Follows the right procedures and challenges unsafe behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
* Client and Contractual Management:
o Maintain effective client relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and prioritizing safety in all activities.
o Support the Head of FM in exceeding contractual obligations and driving continuous improvement.
* Sub-Contractor Management:
o Manage sub-contracted services to meet client expectations, focusing on minimizing KPI failures and financial penalties.
o Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, including risk assessments and incident reporting, and implement corrective actions.
* Operational Excellence:
o Embed and monitor management reporting and quality systems, tracking metrics for contract performance, productivity, and efficiency.
o Ensure adherence to profit protection processes and SLAs.
* Relationship Building:
o Cultivate productive site-level relationships with clients and maintain proactive communication with sub-contractors.
o Actively seek feedback and commit to continuous improvement and service excellence.
* Training and Development:
o Support the ESS Way Commitments program and ensure effective training and development within the team.
* Project and Cost Management:
o Lead and manage all sub-contractor service projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget and provide clear monthly reporting.
o Monitor contract costs and analyze data to drive improvements.
* HR and Compliance:
o Manage team members according to HR policies, ensuring all sub-contractors comply with updated regulations.
