About the Role:
Career Teachers is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join an SEN school on a long-term basis. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs, including autism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
* Assist with the development and implementation of individualized learning plans.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best educational outcomes for students.
* Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
* Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents/carers.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly autism, is highly desirable.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) would be an advantage.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
