Work alongside the locality matron and Complex Care Nurse to clinically lead the multi-disciplinary team in the achievement of clinical excellence, patient safety and regulatory assurance.
Main duties of the job
Some of the main duties include:
* Provide clinical & professional leadership to the team.
* Use advanced clinical skills to support and advise on service development and the delivery of evidence-based care in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers, & other agencies.
* Support development of clinical competencies.
* Carry out clinical supervision.
* Carry out clinical audits.
* Lead on investigation and learning from clinical incidents.

Person Specification
Skills and Competencies
* Effective inter-personal skills and experience in supervising, mentoring, and teaching.
* Ability to lead/motivate staff to embrace change.
* Non-medical prescribing - V300.
* Teaching and mentoring qualification.
Experience
* Evidence of advanced practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development.
* Leadership/management experience which has had a positive impact and created change within the service delivery/practice.
* Evidence of sound post-registration professional practice.
* Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area to advanced level of post-graduate diploma or equivalent knowledge/experiential learning.
* Proven leadership/management experience, able to demonstrate examples of positive impact/change within service delivery/practice at an advanced/expert level.
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Be a member of a recognised professional body and hold a current professional registration.
* Educated to Masters Level or Post Graduate advanced clinical/professional qualification and be able to fully demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Specialist/advanced understanding/application of relevant managerial and leadership aspects of the service area.
