Licensing Coordinator Location: remote (with an access to Spennymoor office) As a Licensing Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the product development process, and all stage gates from concept through to final production, for all licensed products launching in EMEA & ANZ across multiple SBD Inc. brands, including DEWALT, STANLEY, and BLACK DECKER. The scope of the role includes managing both our existing Licensing Partners product approvals and the on-boarding of new Licensing partners across an exciting and broad range of licensed products and portfolios, for example work wear, pressure washers, home products, and toys. In this critical role you will take ownership of the management of the Stanley Black & Decker online product development and approval portal, including providing partner training and updates to ensure all SBD Licensees are proficient and compliant with SBD’s process. Additionally, you will support senior Licensing Managers by developing and maintaining relationships with external licenses as well as champion the product development and approval process for Global Licensing revenue growth. Role and Responsibilities: Work with the Licensing team to enable external licensees to develop and launch successful products that are indistinguishable from our core product offering. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at each approval phase gate, including External Licensees, Industrial Design, Engineering, Brand, and Licensing Management teams. Provide regular project updates to the business and guide decision making process to prioritize key strategic product launches. Manager online product development and brand approval portal Liaise with internal and external partners to proactively manage the flow and speed of the product approval process to increase speed to market and create new revenue streams. Provide insight to continuously improve the licensing process. Licensing Product Management: Guide Licensing partners through the brand and product approval process; working in conjunction with the Legal, Engineering, Industrial Design, and Brand Teams to support the delivery of best-in-class products that are indistinguishable from core product. This will involve managing licensee portal submissions and prioritising the projects strategically. Support Licensing efforts to develop 3-year strategic product roadmaps by partner; includes identifying potential bottlenecks and issues in the development and commercialization of products. Personal Attributes: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, product, sales, or related discipline is preferred with equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree as well; high school diploma required. Interest in developing sales growth plans and working with licensing partners to execute those plans Experience of working with businesses and key decision makers across multiple categories a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate both internally and externally with business leaders. Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize different projects. Strong business/financial acumen, ability to understand profitability and return on investment. Creativity in problem solving Ability to implement projects with a high level of detail and complexity. Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize high workloads. Ability to work in a multicultural team and in an international environment Ability to travel to SBD UK offices (Slough or Spennymoor) on quarterly basis Ability to expand skills and take on additional responsibility over time. Preferred candidate will be located 1-1.5 hours travel from an SBD office.
