A wonderful four day live out nanny role has become available in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. This friendly and professional family like to be active and enjoy sports, music, art and cooking.
This is a shared care role, helping Mum and Dad to take care of two happy and active children – a girl aged ten and her little brother aged two. Mum works part time from home.
The hours will be 14.00-20.00, Tuesday-Friday (24 hours/week). There could be some ad hoc additional hours in the school holidays or for babysitting. These would be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
The family is looking for a positive, energetic and happy nanny who has previous experience of working with these age groups, as they each have different needs. A Spanish speaker would be advantageous, but is not essential.
The parents are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help them to hit their various developmental milestones – with lots of educational and stimulating indoor fun (reading stories, sensory play, singing, age-appropriate games, etc) mixed with plenty of outside play and walks to the park. The little boy loves to take his ball or bike and be outside. In the school holidays, the parents would like you to take the children to fun activities, such as the Model Village or the farm, ensuring that they are always safe and happy.
As well as general care of the children, keeping all areas used by the children clean and tidy (kitchen, children’s rooms, playroom, etc), the nursery duties are to include helping to keep on top of their laundry. Although the family has a housekeeper, any help to keep the house running smoothly between cleans would be appreciated.
You will be responsible for providing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children, home cooked as often as possible and providing meal plans, involving the children where possible.
You will be a careful and confident driver with your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid at the current government rate. You will share nursery and school pickups with Mum.
Once home, you will help to oversee any homework. After dinner, you will help with bathtime and bedtime, providing a calm and relaxed routine, ready to hand over the parents at the end of the day.
This is a wonderful role and would suit someone who is happy to make a long-term commitment.
