Job Description
1. Day to day contact with the practice team, clients, HMRC and other professional advisors.
2. Personable and engaging character with a positive attitude.
3. Confident communicator who can speak to clients in a friendly manner to develop client relationships.
4. All aspects of audit and accounts assignment management:
- Job planning
- Budgeting
- Time management
- Delegating to and supervising of team
- Subsequent monitoring of team progress and managing projects
- Detailed review of file, debriefing team with a key focus on feedback
- Reviewing corporation tax computations and liaising with Tax Specialists
- Finalisation of file for Partner review, including the calculation of corporation tax
- Subsequent submission to HMRC and Companies House
5. Promoting the interests of the firm with all employed by the firm, clients, prospective clients and other third parties.
6. Motivation and encouragement of team, providing timely constructive feedback.
People Management
7. Overseeing and mentoring trainees during their training contract aiding when required.
8. Assisting in the motivation and supervision of people (especially trainees).
9. Assisting people in finding suitable work to keep them fully occupied, also ensuring their development and progress and all team being fully debriefed after audit jobs.
10. Assisting with in-house training.
11. Providing 360 feedback.
Practice Development
12. Attending client gatherings or client seminars on an ad hoc basis.
13. Identifying account development opportunities with clients and progressing these in liaison with the Partner.
14. Assisting with preparation and presentation of new client pitches.
Administration
15. Providing innovative ideas to improve systems currently in practice with regards to client or people matters.
16. Assisting with billing procedures.
17. Assisting with debt collection where appropriate, in liaison with client partner
