Bring Your All-Round Hospitality Expertise to Life — Inspire the Next Generation Salary: From £27,000 tax-free bonus | Location: Remote (with travel across the Midlands) | Role: Hospitality and Chef Trainer Are you an experienced hospitality professional with a background in both front and back of house? At HIT Training, we’re looking for someone like you to join our award-winning team as a Hospitality and Chef Trainer. This is your opportunity to guide and mentor future talent while enjoying a Monday-to-Friday schedule and an improved work-life balance with hybrid working. This role is ideal for someone who has worked across the hospitality spectrum and wants to pass on their knowledge—whether from the buzz of reception or the rhythm of a production kitchen. What You'll Be Doing: Supporting apprentices across both hospitality and kitchen-based roles, helping them build the skills and confidence they need to thrive. Delivering practical, hands-on training at our Hospitality and Chef Academies. Focusing on production chef standards —so fine dining experience isn’t essential, but strong knowledge of back-of-house operations is key. Personalising learning plans to suit individual learners and guiding them through the apprenticeship journey. Embedding functional skills like maths and English in real-world hospitality and kitchen contexts. Building and maintaining strong relationships with apprentices and their employers, providing updates and feedback. Using Google Suite and digital platforms to manage admin, track progress, and plan effectively. Travelling within your area (approx. 3 days a week) with the rest of your time spent working from home. What You'll Need to Bring: Hands-on experience in both front of house (e.g., reception, food and beverage, customer service) and back of house (kitchen-based roles such as Chef de Partie, Kitchen Manager, or Production Chef). A broad understanding of hospitality operations, ideally with a relevant qualification. Good organisational skills and confidence using digital tools. Level 2 (GCSE) in English and maths—or a willingness to work toward these. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across your region. Why Work With Us? We invest in your growth so you can continue to inspire and support others. That’s why we provide access to qualifications and development opportunities to help you grow in your role, including an apprenticeship programme to become a trainer. We also offer: A starting salary from £27,000 plus tax-free bonuses when company targets are met. 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) and an extra day for your birthday. The option to buy or sell up to five additional days’ leave. Healthcare cash plan, dental plan, hospital treatment plan, employee assistance programmes, and 24/7 GP access. Enhanced sick pay and life insurance. Reimbursement for mileage and travel expenses. Why Join HIT Training? At HIT Training, we believe in the transformative power of apprenticeships—not just for individuals, but for businesses and the hospitality industry as a whole. We’re proud to be a Disability Confident and Living Wage employer, committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
