Role Description:
As a SHEQ Coordinator, you will assist the Senior SHEQ Business Partner and SHEQ Business Partners across various areas, including health and safety, environmental management, quality control, training, internal and external auditing, and the maintenance of accreditations and certifications. This will involve collaborating with other departments to ensure legal compliance, achieve objectives and targets, and meet external certification standards. You will also work closely with Directors and managers, as well as communicate with external suppliers.
Role Responsibilities:
Monitor PQQ Requests and task SHEQ Business Partners to review and complete.
Maintaining competency matrixes for SHEQ Business Partners and assisting in maintaining subcontractor competency matrix in liaison with the Supply Chain Manager.
Maintain subcontractor insurance certification in liaison with Supply Chain Manager.
Acting as Sentinel Coordinator and completing the role in accordance with the requirements of the supplementary job description for that role.
Sending out SHEQ Communications and reporting on returns analysis.
Monitoring SHEQ Monthly Targets for completion by the SHEQ Business Partners.
Monitoring Corrective Action Tracker in conjunction with the SHEQ Business Partners and report on status of Corrective Actions.
Monitoring and Reporting on SHEQ Compliance Operational Requirements such as completion of Site Inspections, Topp10 Audits, Sprayer Checklists, etc.
Assist in reviewing and aligning SHEQ Dashboards with development under Reflow and FocalPoint.
Maintain the Drugs and Alcohol process to include calibration of breathalysers, arrangements for random and for cause testing and maintain records.
Attend relevant SHEQ related meetings for the purpose of maintaining records and communicating minutes to relevant personnel.
Maintain SHEQ Registers such as Document Register, Communications Register, Audit and Review Plan, Legislation and Compliance Register, Accident Investigation Register.
Liaise between SHEQ Business Partners and the Training Department to arrange and organise SHEQ led training courses such as Abrasive Wheels Awareness, Manual Handling, L2 Risk Assessment.
Coordinate records of training completed by the SHEQ Department.
Liaise with Finance Department to ensure invoices are approved and agreed in a timely manner.
Monitor SHEQ email inbox and distribute emails and actions.

Self-starter, excellent organisation skills with ability to prioritise and manage workload under varying circumstances including the ability to adapt to changing priorities of the business.

Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, able to tailor them to suit all levels of audience.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate must have:
Excellent IT skills with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
An interest in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards and practices.
Good literacy and numeracy skills to include Minute taking, arithmetic, agenda development, etc.
Experience of team working and self-management.
A strong attention to detail and procedure following.
Desirable:
A basic Health and Safety qualification.
Understanding of ISO standards.
An understanding of data analysis techniques.
Ability to produce reports on a monthly basis relating to project deliverables.
