Resident Doctor – PICU Location: London Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (12-hour shifts) Salary: up to £90,000 Additional Opportunities: Extra shifts available through our internal locum bank Join Our Leading PICU Team We are seeking a Resident Doctor to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in our State of the art Hospital in London. While our service is consultant-led, we believe in empowering our Resident Doctors. Your role can expand beyond clinical duties, allowing you to engage in audits, quality improvement projects, and internal networks. Whether it’s participating in governance meetings, contributing to patient satisfaction initiatives, or taking part in multi-disciplinary discussions, you’ll have opportunities to enhance your skills and shape the service. What You’ll Need: GMC registration and completion of Foundation Training (plus at least three additional years of medical experience). Background in Paediatrics with prior experience in PICU. ALS certification and relevant medical qualifications. Competency in managing a wide range of paediatric intensive care cases, including complex medical, surgical (urology, orthopaedics, spinal), and cardiac surgical cases. Ability to handle emergency situations, including airway management, difficult access, and prescribing medications. Strong communication skills to liaise with consultants, multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
