Civil Enforcement Officer - (Ref: CEO) Salary: Up to £28,163.20 p.a. We looking for hard-working and dedicated people to help keep Broxbourne’s streets safe by joining our team of Civil Enforcement Officers. Keeping children safe especially near schools, ensuring emergency vehicles have unrestricted access, and improving access for less-abled people to disabled bays and local facilities are essential aspects of this role. The Civil Enforcement Officers ensure that drivers comply with these regulations as well as providing guidance. They play vital role in ensuring good traffic flow, maximising available parking spaces and enhancing safety throughout the Borough of Broxbourne. The areas of responsibility include both on and off-street parking contraventions, as well as the smooth running of the Council’s pay and display car parks and on-street pay and display areas. Excellent customer care skills are essential for this role. Applicants must be able to demonstrate good people skills often in challenging situations; they must be good team players and have basic computer skills. They must be prepared to work in all weathers on a flexible rota basis, which will include weekends and bank holidays. A manual driving licence is required. This role requires a standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. T he ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.
