Kings A2 is a 20 bedded acute surgical colorectal ward including patients stepping down from ITU. We specialise in VAC therapy dressings and work alongside our gastro-enterology ward widening our scope of experience.
Working alongside a unique team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, we also provide rehabilitation and support to enable the patients to leave the hospital environment.
We have a strong team, with great opportunities to develop and gain excellent experience in delivering compassionate and safe care to this complex and vulnerable group of patients.
Main duties of the job
Registered Nurse with General surgical experience.
To provide effective patient care whilst working as a member of the nursing team across East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust. To ensure the maintenance of high standards of patient care in response to service needs.

* Recent clinical experience in an acute Trust
* Delivery of evidence-based practice
* Demonstrate patient-focused approach
* Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
* Basic IT skills and well-developed verbal & written communication skills
* Ability to develop working relationships with others
* Time management and personal organisation skills
* Previous experience at Band 5 within specialty
* Evidence of facilitating learning in practice
* Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development
