Responsibilities:
1. Support the P2P process with a team of Procurement buyers
2. Prepare and raise purchase orders and general stock replenishment
3. Purchase goods, materials and components in line with customer demand.
4. Ensure stocking levels are at the optimum levels.
5. Resolve supplier quality material issues identified in warehouse (documentation and quality).
6. Work with sales to provide general updates / changes to the open purchase orders
7. Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
8. Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
9. Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.
10. Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements.
Qualifications:
11. Previous experience of working in a purchasing team preferably within an Aerospace or manufacturing environment
12. Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification or studying towards CIPS qualification would be beneficial
13. Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
14. Experience of working closely with suppliers
15. Able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements
16. Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills/abilities
17. Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be beneficial
18. Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers.
19. Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
20. Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets.
21. ·Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the Business and customer order fulfilment
22. Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.
23. Keen attention to detail and accuracy
