Role Overview A Test Engineer is crucial in ensuring the performance, quality, and reliability of radio frequency (RF) systems and components. Here are some key responsibilities typically associated with your new role: Performing RF Testing: Conducting RF tests requires using advanced test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators. Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving RF systems and components issues, often collaborating with design engineers. Maintaining Test Equipment: Ensuring all test equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly to provide accurate measurements. Compliance and Standards: Ensuring RF products comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Documentation: Documenting test procedures, results, and any issues encountered during testing. Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with the latest advancements in RF technology and testing methodologies to improve testing processes continuously. Our ideal candidate To excel in this position, you must have experience in electronics and the ability to read and create wiring diagrams, follow test procedures, and document findings. You should also be proficient in using various electronic test equipment. Additionally, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Education: HND/HNC in engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Industrial, or related). Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in process simulation and analysis software, excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Desirables BSc in Electronics Engineering or related field. Previous experience in testing devices at the board level. Experience with automation, SMT and robotics in manufacturing Location This role requires you to work on-site at our modern manufacturing facility outside Hereford.
