About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced social work Team Manager to join our Duty and Assessment service. The Team Manager is crucial to ensuring social workers have the support and guidance to undertake thorough, child-focused assessments in partnership with children, their families and professionals, to ensure children and their families receive the right help at the right time. You will be responsible for managing a team which consists of an Advanced Practitioner and 5 Social Workers. In Rochdale we have 4 Duty and Assessment Teams that rotate duty so your team will be on duty 1 week in 4 during which you will be responsible for all the referrals that have stepped up from EHASH (our multi agency Early Help and Safeguarding Hub). During duty week you will be sat in EHASH which includes police, health professionals, early help and probation which ensures we are able to respond quickly to all families that require our support. About you This is a crucial role in ensuring we meet out statutory duties to children and families in Rochdale. You should bring a sound understanding of social work leadership and management, with an ability to work autonomously in the daily leadership of your team. You should have experience in the management of social work services and a clear understanding of how to drive good practice and performance of your team.
