Job Description:
In this role, you will coordinate and dispatch the delivery of wind tunnel projects to our wind tunnel test facility, ensuring all parts and projects are delivered safely and on time. You will also maintain a cohesive system of part storage and manage part life.
What you will be doing:
1. Identify parts required for upcoming sessions and liaise with Model Shop to ensure on-time delivery for our wind tunnel test programme.
2. Ensure wind tunnel model parts are packaged adequately and delivered on time.
3. Identify any shortcomings in parts and liaise with relevant departments to avoid delays.
4. Maintain a cohesive storage system for parts.
5. Maintain Health and Safety requirements within Model Shop Stores.
6. Create data and evaluate KPIs for management.
7. Manage part life and secure destruction of parts.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge of part tracking systems.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for KPI management.
3. Identify packaging requirements for bespoke parts to ensure safe transit and storage.
4. Able to prioritise workload.
5. Maintain a good working relationship with other departments.
6. Maintain Health and Safety requirements within Model Shop Stores.
7. Ability to identify shortcomings in procedures and offer tangible changes to strengthen processes.
