About You: You will have significant experience of electrical design within the building services industry, as well as a comprehensive understanding of design through all the design stages. You will have a good knowledge of codes, standards and surveys relevant in building services. You should have a thorough understanding of wiring regulations (emergency lighting, fire detection systems etc), as well as having had experience with essential calculations. You must have at least some experience working on an existing building. Ideally you will be chartered, but our client is open to hearing from individuals who are in the process of achieving this. What you will be doing: You'll have the opportunity to lead electrical design services on large and small to medium projects working across a variety of projects across the UK (and occasionally internationally). You'll be responsible for delivering refurbishment and upgrade projects from inception to completion whilst creating both electrical and mechanical specs, designs and ensuring quality standards are being met. As a principle/ associate engineer, you will be writing reports and recommendations, preparing fee proposals and reviewing development or fit out proposals. This role is in Central London. Our client offers, hybrid and flexible working hours, as well as the ability to work a 9-day fortnight. What you can expect in return: This role is paying from £49,000 (at Principal level) up to £75,000 (for associate level). You will also be eligible for a travel allowance of up to £4,500 per year.
