HMNBC is the Single Integrated Operating Base and Submarine Centre of Specialism for Royal Navy submarines and submariners. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description This is a new post within the Naval Base Commander Clyde (NBCC) organisation. The planner will operate as part of the Additional Fleet Time Docking Capability (AFTDC) team and will lead on project and programme level planning. The planner will be expected to provide planning and schedule subject matter expertise at Programme level, develop and maintain plans and schedules and collaborate with planning colleagues across both the Naval Base and Programme. Responsible for developing and maintaining plans and schedules Apply SME knowledge to planning activities to inform decision making Engage with relevant Naval Base planners to understand inter-dependencies across the site and to advise of Programme milestones. Contribute to the development of the programme schedule to capture programme level outputs. Collaborate across the Programme and Naval Base governance to ensure risks and issues are accurately captured and that opportunities and mitigation are developed. Work collaboratively with Naval Base and Programme planning leads to carry out integrated planning reviews ensuring schedules and plans remain robust, accurate and realistic. Action ad-hoc planning requests from across the AFTDC team. Contribute to a positive, collaborative and proactive working environment. Person specification Essential Experience Demonstrable experience of using planning and scheduling tools to develop and maintain project plans Experience or knowledge of areas within project management e.g. Risk, Issue, Opportunity Management, Stakeholder Management, Benefit Management and Governance.
