Anthro is a joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering. Anthro have been appointed to support the delivery of Old Oak Common Station, the London interchange for HS2. As a new ‘super-hub’, Old Oak Common Station is set to be the best-connected and largest new railway station ever constructed in Britain.
Anthro will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station. These services cover mechanical, electrical, public health, fire and communications systems within the Old Oak Common project.
The project leverages Egis’ in-depth expertise in delivering turn-key solutions for major infrastructure projects with VVB Engineering’s extensive self-delivery capability in mechanical, electrical, fire and telecommunications systems.
Job Description
As a Senior Document Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth flow and organisation of project documentation. Working closely with the Document Controller Manager and design team, you will take a lead in ensuring that all project documentation is compliant, organised, and effectively managed. You will provide guidance and training to the wider team on document control best practices, oversee the implementation of workflows, and manage coordination between stakeholders. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy, accessibility, and security of project documents, contributing significantly to the project’s success.
This is a hybrid role and you would be required to be on site in Old Oak Common 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review, number, and submit project documents with unique references and revisions before submission to the client
* Upload and download project documents to both client EDMS and Asite systems.
* Maintain an updated Document Control register
* Track all incoming and outgoing project documents, ensuring all team members and subcontractors receive the latest versions
* Conduct quality checks on documents before filing and distribution to ensure compliance
* Organise the project filing system and manage digital archiving processes
* Coordinate with various departments, including HS2 and external consultants, to support documentation needs
* Follow document procedures across digital platforms such as Asite, ProjectWise and ALIM
* Act as the subject matter expert in document management, offering training and promoting best practices
* Administer company and client EDMS systems, managing user permissions, creating new users, and deactivating users as needed
* Support upcoming stages by creating and maintaining workflows
* Perform audits and compliance checks on document control systems and processes
Qualifications
Essential:
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in document control roles within construction, rail, or infrastructure sectors
* Strong knowledge of EDMS systems (e.g., ALIM, Asite, SharePoint, ProjectWise) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Adaptability in a dynamic environment with a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and guide team members effectively
* Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
* Demonstrable ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
* Qualifications in Information Management, Administration, or equivalent experience.
* A proactive, solutions-driven mindset and adaptability to dynamic project environments
