Business Unit description The Digital Services business unit is at the heart of UCAS’ technical innovation, data and infrastructure. About the role Contractual Hours 35.00 About the role 12 month fixed term contract The Enterprise Security Administrator will support the Enterprise Security team to manage UCAS’ Information Technology (IT)/Cyber Security. As the first port-of call for the team, management of mailboxes, maintenance of key housekeeping documents and organisation and prioritisation of incoming internal and external requests. The role will assist with key IT/Cyber Security activities and tasks as directed. This role will also provide support to the Enterprise Security Team in achieving the strategic goals in UCAS for IT/Cyber security, helping to drive a level of excellence throughout the entire organisation that presents UCAS as 'The Exemplar' in cyber security across the education sector. Key accountabilities: • Provide administration support for the Enterprise Security Lead and other security team members where required. • Support the Enterprise Security team with key security projects and issues as directed. • Responsible for maintaining internal backlog for the team that records enquiries, requests, security assessments and outcomes. • Support the Enterprise Security Lead in the preparation of metrics for Senior Management and key stakeholders. • Organisation and scheduling of reoccurring team tasks, including policy reviews, related administration and preparation for relevant meetings. Skills, qualifications, and experience • A confident communicator, both verbal and written, comfortable engaging with internal customers at all levels, both technical and non-technical. • Computer Science/Cyber Security degree is desirable or equivalent demonstrable experience. • Hold ICS2 Certified Cyber Security or a desire to achieve this. • Good IT skills, experience of using Microsoft O365. • Highly organised, meticulous, motivated and willing to learn. • Proactive and able to work in a fast-paced team. • Working knowledge of Information Security, having worked in an IT/Security function previously (desirable). • Good investigatory skills, with a focus on gathering facts, responding to requests and seeking wider information. • Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and suppliers, able to handle enquiries in a confident, professional, and competent manner.
