The Role
Fortem Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrician to our Stonewater Housing contract, covering Exeter and the surrounding areas. This is a full-time permanent position on a Fortem contract.
The Customer
Our contract with Stonewater is a long-term one and on this contract we cover over 7,500 houses in 4 different areas of the South-West, from Taunton and Yeovil, over to Bristol and Swindon and down to Salisbury and Bournemouth. We currently deliver Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works, and an Electrical Service program. We pride ourselves on our great customer service and our senior leadership team has years of experience within this sector which can help you develop your learning and knowledge base. This Electrician role will specifically cover the area between Exeter and Taunton and you’ll be working 8-4:30 Monday – Friday (although overtime will be available).
Duties and responsibilities
Reporting into the Electrical Supervisor you will:
1. Install, service and maintain electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.
2. Install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations.
3. Carry out EICRs and remedial upgrades to void properties, carry out day-to-day repairs.
4. Complete reactive maintenance work as per the specification.
5. Advise the Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
6. Work in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
7. Complete daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken.
8. Record and submit accurate timesheets corresponding with booking sheets.
9. Work in a timely and productive manner to complete projects.
10. Afford excellent customer service to client representatives.
11. Arrange purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner.
What you will need
Essential criteria:
1. C&G 2360 Part 1&2 Electrotechnical Competences plus the NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2&3 plus the NVQ 3 Certificate or NVQ 3 2356 certificate.
2. C&G 18th Edition Certificate.
3. C&G 2391.
4. Full UK driving license (Max 5 points).
Desirable:
1. Unvented Hot Water Certificate Water Regulations Certificate Part P.
2. JIPB H&S Test Certificate with Current JIBP card.
3. Testing & Inspecting Certificate C&G 2377.
4. PAT Certificate.
