We are looking to find an experienced Asset Surveyor, if that’s you keep reading. Working with our London team you will be undertaking stock conditions surveys, which will include identification and measuring of building attributes, assessing remaining life and ensuring our records are fully up to date. You may at times need to travel into the neighbouring counties to complete surveys on our newly built properties. Within the role you will undertake Energy Assessments, calculating SAP ratings, so you will be required to be an Accredited Domestic Energy Assessor. You’ll also undertake Retrofit Assessments. About you You will have a relevant technical (HNC or higher) qualification in Building, Surveying, Planning or a similar technical field or significant experience working in the construction industry. You’ll have demonstrable experience carrying out structural surveys and producing reports following the completion. You’ll be used to using planned maintenance and energy management systems, so won’t find it too much of a challenge to learn our systems. You’ll be out and about in our communities, often working independently, so spending time behind the wheel won’t be an issue for you. When you’re not out and about you’ll be able to work wherever suits you, whether that’s at home or in the office with your wider team. You’ll have a number of key strengths, communication being one. When not surveying you’ll be communicating with colleagues and customers and key stakeholders, either face to face, on the phone or in writing. Your time management will also be a strength, you’ll be required to meet deadlines, so managing your time effectively will really help you to be successful in the role. You will need a full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes to get yourself on site and to the office. You'll also be happy to use public transport to get you to visits, if this is the most convenient option.
