Long Term Futures is seeking a committed Interventions Teaching Assistant to become part of our partner primary school on the outskirts of Coventry. This rewarding role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by delivering focused interventions to support their progress toward achieving age-related expectations. The position is full-time, with the potential for a long-term placement to transition into a permanent role for the ideal candidate.
As part of this role, you will be expected to:
- Help prepare and adapt teaching resources and materials to accommodate the varied learning needs of students.
- Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons, setting up equipment, and maintaining a well-organised and engaging classroom.
- Provide targeted interventions to support students' academic progress and overall wellbeing.
- Work closely with children with SEN, offering one-to-one support and leading small group sessions both inside and outside the classroom.
- Facilitate fun and interactive activities to encourage social interaction and inclusivity among pupils.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a relevant degree.
- Have a minimum of one year's experience working with primary school pupils, preferably in Early Years or Key Stage 1.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Experienced in leading both group and one-to-one phonics interventions.
