Job Description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner with the potential to become 2nd In Charge.
As a 2nd in Charge, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of a designated room, working closely with the Nursery Manager and other staff to ensure the best possible care and education for children aged under 2.
Position: Early Years Practitioner – 2nd In Charge
Location: Bow, E3
Hours: 40 hours per week
Holiday: 28 days, including bank holidays
Salary: £28,000 – £29,000 per annum
Requirements
* A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
* Two satisfactory, relevant references.
* A satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
* Relevant skills and experience to support the management of a nursery, following the ethos, implementation, and legal requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Reggio Emilia approach, and the client’s own curriculum.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Support of the Manager
* Lead the running of a designated room and support the Nursery Manager in all aspects of nursery operations.
* Be familiar with all policies and procedures, as well as the roles of the Manager and other staff members, and manage the room with minimal input from the Manager.
