Visualisation Manager Location: Woking (Hybrid – 4 days on site per week) Type: Permanent Purpose of the Role The Visualisation Manager will lead the delivery of rendered materials and real-time datasets using Unreal Engine 5 and Autodesk VRED. This role is pivotal in supporting design decision-making, visual feasibility, technical validation, and creating content for marketing, press releases, and social media. The focus will be on data clarity, quality of imagery, and timely delivery of visualisation outputs. Key Responsibilities Project Support Plan and manage the Visualisation team’s requirements for programmes and headcount. Oversee visualisation deliverables, ensuring clarity, quality, and adherence to timelines. Instigate quality reviews from technical and creative viewpoints. Manage any offshore visualisation resources and integrate seamlessly with on-site teams. Lead reviews for complex or contentious visualisation issues raised by Design Studio or Engineering. Represent the Visualisation team in key project and design delivery meetings. Task Control Develop cross-departmental processes and strategies to enhance visualisation capabilities. Produce static and dynamic visualisation materials as required. Manage and delegate tasks to team members to ensure efficient delivery. Lead the implementation of VR/AR hardware and software for internal use. Investigate, plan, and implement new technologies to add value to visualisation outputs. Develop interactive VR environments and lead problem-solving efforts across functions. Maintain awareness of industry trends and ensure presence at relevant events. Implement and manage Agile task allocation systems within the Visualisation team. Team Management Lead, motivate, and develop the Visualisation team, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Manage headcount allocation and programme budgets for visualisation resources. Ensure the team is equipped with appropriate hardware and software to fulfil their roles. Set targets, run appraisals, and promote a collaborative and high-performance culture. Act as a role model and ambassador for the team, fostering strong cross-functional relationships. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Successful completion of a university-level course specialising in 3D games art or a related field. Extensive experience in creating videos, cinematics, and showreels in Unreal Engine 5 and Autodesk VRED. Expertise in photo-realistic lighting and rendering. Proven ability to set up VR projects with interaction and navigation controls in Unreal Engine 5 and VRED. Familiarity with AR, UV mapping, modelling, and texturing. Previous experience in data conversion, starting from CAD data to final outputs. Knowledge of texture painting tools (Photoshop, Substance, Illustrator) and UI/UX design. Minimum 10 years of relevant automotive visualisation experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
