At Manor Hall Nursing Home, Eastbourne BN20 8BB, we specialise in providing quality nursing care for the elderly. Our qualified and highly experienced managers are supported by an excellent and skilful team. We are looking for two part-time members to join our housekeeping team at Manor Hall Nursing Home. You will be required to work 20 hours per week, including some weekend work, hours and days will be discussed at interview.
Salary: £11.44 per hour
Purpose of Role:
Working under the direction of the Head Housekeeper, to ensure the highest possible standards of cleanliness in all parts of the home.
To provide cleaning services within the organisation in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practices.
Key Duties:
1. Carrying out your duties to a high standard of cleanliness for our residents.
2. Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of cleaning implementation and delivery.
3. To clean all sanitary areas respecting the privacy of residents and visitors and as specified in the cleaning manual, ensuring the service users’ rights are protected.
4. Implement action to meet and maintain cleaning standards.
5. Evaluate standards of cleaning competence.
6. To use cleaning products and materials, ensuring the correct product and dilution as specified in the cleaning manual and the COSHH guidelines.
7. Be aware of COSHH regulations and adhere to them at all times.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
1. Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within the service.
2. To maintain cleaning skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required in order to maintain that currency of practice.
3. Be flexible and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
