Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will be responsible for supporting the development of marketing campaigns and communications to support our customers across our channels. You should be a communications specialist with experience in understanding different audiences and tailoring communications to suit. With a knowledge of multiple channels including both online and offline, you’ll know when and how to use each channel to deliver clear, engaging communications.
Whilst taking the strategic lead on communications you’ll also be responsible for delivery and will execute activity through your own strengths in copywriting and content creation whilst using external resources as required. You will be expected to report on the success of campaigns and marketing strategies, which will require you to analyse and evaluate large amounts of data. The role will also cover supporting the head of marketing on customer accounts both in terms of communications plans and data analysis.
You will be expected to help us gain competitive advantage through insightful category recommendations and solutions for the sales team to grow volumes with current customers and attract targeted new customers.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Develop robust category plans to ensure that strategies and tactics are relevant and aligned to the channel and customer.
* Leading through insight, understanding the market dynamics, competitive landscape and how changes affect the overall category plan.
* Support the Head of Marketing in developing a marketing strategy and action plan for our key accounts in collaboration with the key account directors.
* Act as a brand guardian, ensuring that the brand voice and image is represented accurately and authentically across the whole business.
* Develop our social media communication strategy and grow this channel to ensure engagement with customers across all our channels.
* Manage our PR strategy to engage customers and drive footfall.
* Drive the Moores Direct marketing plan, increasing lead generation, facilitating conversions and driving increased ATV’s through both the Moores Club and Homeowner teams.
* Manage literature stock and the distribution of promotional literature and internal communication packs.
* Manage our websites ensuring they are up to date and developed in line with our business goals.
* Monitor and benchmark competitor campaign activity and report on findings as appropriate to management.
* Track campaign costs and monitor spend against budgets and ROI targets in line with direction and guidance from the Head of Marketing.
* Deliver support on key digital marketing projects as required.
* Reporting to key stakeholders internally and externally with conclusions and recommendations.
* Collaborate closely with the sales team to achieve key customer sales targets.
* Build and manage strong working relationships externally with marketing support agencies, data providers and buyers, marketing teams and merchandisers within key accounts.
Previous Experience & Key Skills:
* Demonstrable skills and experience within a Channel Marketing/Customer communications role.
* Degree educated or similar qualification.
* Experience of the contract market.
* Knowledge of marketing to B2C.
* Highly analytical, with the ability to offer meaningful interpretation of the data.
* Experience of lead generation techniques and measuring their success.
* Experience of digital marketing.
* Experience of social media channel management.
* Highly motivated with a positive and optimistic attitude.
* Excellent communication skills and dynamic approach to working with different teams and stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) is essential.
* Demonstrable creative flair & judgement.
* Commercially astute including excellent financial awareness and understanding.
* The ability to work under pressure and undertake multiple projects.
Working conditions:
Office based at Wetherby. Occasional travel for meeting with customers/agencies.
