Woodward & Co are a mechanical services engineering company who specialise in all aspects of the design and installation of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Water services of buildings nationwide in the retail, leisure and commercial sectors.
We have secured projects and opportunities that allow for a programme of sustained growth to be implanted and we are looking to add enthusiastic Mechanical Services Design Engineers to our expanding team.

The successful candidate will have a passion for engineering and problem solving and will be excited about the prospect of working in a role that provides excellent opportunities for growth and experience including both office work and site visits.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all aspects of the design of mechanical services systems including ductwork, pipework and drainage sizing and layouts, plant and terminal selection, plantroom design, maintenance access and requirements all within the dictates of the relevant specifications, codes of practices and statutory regulations.
2. Preparation of fully coordinated designs from initial feasibility or specification stage through to construction phase ensuring compliance with industry standards and building regulations.
3. Use of Autocad 2D and Revit 3D.
4. Use of Hevacomp thermal modelling software.
5. Responsible through presentation, behaviour and professionalism for the continuing growth of the Company’s reputation and Client base.
6. Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and growth of the company design standards.
7. Be ambassadors for the company in all external communications and interactions.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the more junior engineers and be a positive role model in the office.
9. Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously ensuring quality, compliance and timely delivery.
10. Act as a point of contact for client and stakeholder communication, alongside project managers where applicable.
11. Collaborate with other departments such as the operations team to optimize project execution.
12. Positively participate in business development activities, provide ideas for and drive innovation.
Requirements:
1. Technical knowledge HVAC engineering processes is vital.
2. Qualified to HNC level or higher preferred.
3. Computer literate and able to use Microsoft office applications and design software tools - Autocad and Hevacomp preferred.
4. Well-developed presentational skills.
5. Strong time management capabilities.
6. Proactive, enthusiastic personality.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. An excellent eye for detail, taking pride in your work.
