Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the SEN provision across the school, ensuring the best possible outcomes for students with SEN. Collaborate with class teachers, teaching assistants, and external agencies to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Monitor and assess the progress of students with SEN, adjusting strategies as needed. Provide guidance and support to staff on effective teaching strategies and differentiation for SEN students. Lead and manage a team of SEN staff, providing training and professional development opportunities. Work closely with parents and carers to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s learning and well-being. Oversee the assessment and review process for SEN students, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements. Who We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and SENCO qualification (or working towards it). Experience as a SENCO or in a similar role within a primary school setting. A deep understanding of SEN policies, practices, and the statutory framework. Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. A compassionate and inclusive approach to supporting students with diverse needs. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Why Join Us?
