You will be responsible for supporting our team managers to achieve the best possible quality of support for the individuals who live in, or who use our services. As such you will be a highly motivated, personable individual who is able to engage with people both within the business and the people we support.
What is great about this role?
As a Policy and Compliance Officer you will support the overall compliance and assurance processes within the Support Division, working in partnership with peers in the Care team. You will support the development and review of policies, as well as carrying out a range of compliance and audit functions including overseeing an annual thematic audit process.
You will work in an inclusive and person-centred way to ensure that our policies and processes positively impact the experience of our colleagues and individuals in our services.
Day to day responsibilities:
1. Supporting the Support division as part of the wider Quality Assurance Team to ensure the division has robust and up to date policies and procedures in line with regulatory, legislative and organisational requirements.
2. Completing any required policy impact assessments.
3. Travelling to our services and community localities to conduct audits and consult on policy.
4. Writing reports for operational managers to summarise findings from audits, making recommendations as appropriate.
What Skills and Experience Do You Need?
1. Excellent organisational skills.
2. Ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
3. Excellent Literacy and Numeracy skills, including strong formal written language skills.
4. Educated to A-Level or equivalent, e.g. NVQ level 3/4.
5. Must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
