Our client, a leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join their team. Specialising in hose and drogue Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) and Actuation systems, our client collaborates with top aircraft manufacturers and end-users to develop advanced systems for challenging environments. Key Responsibilities: Utilising mechanical and/or systems engineering knowledge throughout the product lifecycle. Executing all stages of system lifecycle including requirements management, validation, systems design, development, integration, verification, and qualification. Planning engineering tasks and generating engineering management plans. Converting customer and stakeholder requirements to define and inform the total project solution. Engaging with suppliers and customers to ensure solution expectations are met. Managing engineering change to maintain system integrity and ensuring traceability of design decisions. Supporting all areas of the product lifecycle to deliver an integrated solution. Planning and scheduling engineering design gate reviews, and engaging with airworthiness and safety functions to meet project milestones. Managing technical risks and opportunities affecting project delivery. Liaising with engineering leadership and programme management to ensure adequate resourcing and identifying potential capability shortfalls. Driving continuous improvement with effective systems engineering management practices. Job Requirements: Experience in mechanical, electromechanical, fluid, mechanisms, structures, or systems product development. Motivated and proactive, with a focus on driving solutions to completion. An engineering degree or equivalent qualification. Comprehensive understanding of the engineering product lifecycle. Experience in requirements management and verification (experience with DOORS or CRADLE is beneficial). Understanding of Systems Engineering Management. Experience in signing off engineering documents. Natural problem solver with a solutions-focused mindset.
