Cheese Grading Administrator (Maternity Cover 12-18 Months) - Dunmanbridge
At Dale Farm, we believe our success is built on our people, and so as we embark on our ambitious transformation journey, we are looking to recruit the following position based at our Dunman Site.
Job Purpose
This role will report to the Cheese Grading & Stock Control Manager, with the purpose of managing and controlling cheese stocks in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimal stock utilization.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining the electronic filing system for all grading-related paperwork, in line with site Quality Management System.
* Reclassification and allocation of grading sheets on Navision stock management system, facilitating selection of appropriate cheese against customer profiles and updating records.
* Selecting and allocating cheese for internal and external customers, working closely with the sales team.
* Coordinating with outside storage facilities to manage cheese stock returns, ensuring availability for cutting.
* Liaising with production, stores, dispatch, and planning to ensure good customer service.
* Coordinating cheese sample requests.
* Maintaining department KPIs.
* Performing other duties as part of a team.
Minimum qualifications and skills:
* Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths, English, and a science subject.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
* Experience maintaining a database accurately and timely.
* Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
* Flexibility and initiative.
* Experience working in a busy team environment.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Degree in Science or Food-related subject.
* Experience with Stock Control processes.
* 12 months experience in a food manufacturing environment.
* Awareness of sensory analysis or taste profiling.
The successful candidate should be energetic, personable, team-oriented, and capable of handling a varied workload.
