Job summary The spasticity service provides specialist multi disciplinary assessment, treatment, advice and information to adults with spasticity in a wide variety of complex, permanent, progressive and non-progressive neurological conditions. The team comprises of Consultant Neurologists and Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine,Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioners, Highly Specialised Physiotherapists and Administrative support. The team is based at Queen Mary's hospital Roehampton, St Georges' hospital and offers outreach services within SWL. Main duties of the job The Clinic Co-ordinator role is essential to the smooth running of the Spasticity Service. The post-holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and have responsibility for providing a high quality administrative and clinical service to the Spasticity Service. They will ensure a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, in order to deliver a positive patient experience. They will provide patients with a primary point of contact between the multidisciplinary team and their colleagues, patients, relatives and GPs, providing relevant information and assisting with queries. They will coordinate care associated with patient pathways, including bookings and solving queries that arise. They also are responsible for offering clinical support to the members of the multidisciplinary team including preparation of patients for intervention therapy and assisting with procedures.
