The Senior Director, Sales will build and lead a group of seasoned sales professionals, driving significant strategic growth and market share within the European Defence and Public Sector for SUSE. This pivotal role is responsible for guiding and mentoring Sales Leaders and their Account Executive teams to achieve revenue targets, cultivate robust customer relationships, and deliver bespoke solutions that resonate with the unique challenges and objectives of this sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and lead a high performing team focused on Government and Defense, establishing and achieving quarterly and annual sales targets.
* Cultivate a high-performance sales culture, emphasizing skill enhancement and continuous coaching.
* Oversee and guide Sales Leaders in developing customer-centric strategies that align SUSE's offerings with the distinct needs of Defence and Public Sector clients.
* Ensure teams identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
* Manage and maintain sales pipeline and forecasting accuracy across all teams.
* Support Sales Leaders and Account Executives in building relationships with key stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to orchestrate comprehensive account strategies.
* Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities.
* Promote a growth mindset within the teams by fostering continuous learning and professional development.
* Engage in talent acquisition, emphasizing the recruitment of diverse and high-caliber individuals.
* Cultivate an inclusive team culture where all voices are heard.
Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience leading high-performing sales or account management teams.
* Exceptional ability to analyze and interpret data on market trends and customer needs.
* Demonstrated expertise in building relationships with C-suite executives and senior government stakeholders.
* Deep understanding of enterprise sales methodologies.
* Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
* Exceptional ability to articulate SUSE's value proposition.
* In-depth understanding of relevant industry solutions.
