About the role We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Student Recruitment and Outreach Officer to join our team to lead the way in promoting higher education and degree apprenticeship opportunities.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating a pipeline of future undergraduate and degree apprentices, working closely with schools, colleges, recruitment events and outreach partners to ensure these opportunities are accessible to all.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maximise Student Recruitment and Opportunities
o Handle inbound queries from students, parents, and educators about our apprenticeship offerings.
o Work closely with the wider College team to promote our HE and Degree apprenticeship programmes and ensure that every student is aware of the opportunities available.
2. Relationship Building
o Proactively develop and nurture relationships with key schools with sixth forms, colleges, teachers, careers advisers, mature students and other relevant stakeholders.
o Your work will align with our Schools Engagement and Marketing strategies to support access to apprenticeship opportunities.
3. Event Coordination and Delivery
o Plan, coordinate, deliver and attend engaging outreach events and activities, both on-campus and in schools/off-campus locations to promote higher education and degree apprenticeship offerings.
o Focus on working with groups currently under-represented in higher education to ensure everyone has the chance to succeed.
The successful candidate:
* A background in student recruitment, youth engagement, education, or outreach.
* Experience working with young people and adults seeking higher and degree level apprenticeships would be desirable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience in organising and delivering events or activities aimed at young people would be desirable.
* A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and engagement.
* Passionate about promoting equal access to education and career opportunities.
