Great opportunity to join a small friendly finance team; reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support with management accounts preparation.
The remit overall is to support the monitoring and reporting of financial performance through the preparation and analysis of regular financial returns. To support with strategy in preparing financial forecasts and the annual calculation of rent charges and monitor and maintain a strong controls framework across all financial areas of the business.
Core Duties include:
1. Prepare monthly management accounts for review, including analysis of key ledger items, accruals, and prepayments journals.
2. Prepare month-end reconciliations covering all balance sheet items for authorization.
3. Assist with the production of various periodic reports for landlords as required by sustainability agreements.
4. Support the Finance Manager with the annual audit process, working closely with the auditors to ensure deliverables are met and timelines are adhered to.
5. Support with the Finance Manager budgeting & forecasting and liaising with colleagues as required to obtain relevant information.
6. Support the wider Finance team as required with bank, sales ledger, purchase ledger & rent accounting postings.
7. Support the Finance Manager and other colleagues in the organization with ad-hoc requests for financial analysis.
8. Support with utility contract renewal and maintain an up-to-date register of all supplies, supported by the Finance Assistant.
9. Assist with the calculation of the rent schedule charges for all properties based on Board approved uplift amounts and property-specific charges.
10. Assist with the service charge reconciliations for all properties to ensure all under/over recoveries are properly recorded for adjustment in the subsequent year's rent schedules.
11. Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
