Job Description:
KS2 Teaching Assistant needed as soon as possible!
We are seeking passionate and experienced KS2 Teaching Assistants who want to make a difference to children’s education and development.
You must be available full-time Monday – Friday.
* Hours: Full-time 8:30am – 15:30pm
* Key Stage 2
* Location: Accrington, Lancashire
Responsibilities:
* Have a nurturing and calm approach in order to build relationships with children.
* Communicate with families/carers to provide feedback about children.
* Provide support to all children, including those with additional needs.
* Work closely with the Class Teacher and other professionals to enhance children’s learning.
* Assist with classroom management and use good behaviour management strategies.
* Help to create a safe, fun and inclusive learning environment.
* Commit to the wider life of the school and the community of the school.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
* A minimum of 2 years experience supporting KS2 children.
* A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service.
* Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
