Position: Fitness Instructor
Ready for an exciting career in the Leisure industry? We have a great opportunity available for a qualified exercise professional. You will need at least a Level 2 health & fitness qualification and experience in the fitness industry.
Halo centres are vital community assets, well used and supported by the local population. You will deal with a wide variety of customers, supporting them to get the best out of their visit to the gym.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Instruct new gym members and provide inductions.
2. Compile personal fitness programmes for gym members when required.
3. Assist with health promotions.
4. Carry out regular maintenance and equipment checks.
5. Run a safe and clean activity, taking care of the resources needed to deliver the services.
6. Pitch in as needed to help your centre, manager, and colleagues.
7. Promote our values and expectations.
8. Plan activities and deliver great sessions to individuals and groups.
9. Support your colleagues.
10. Commit to your own development and take part in company training programmes.
11. Provide feedback for continuous improvement.
12. Respect the privacy rights of customers and colleagues.
13. Take responsibility for your performance.
14. Take an active interest in the company and your centre.
15. Follow company policies, procedures, and systems.
16. Follow the emergency response plan.
Skills, Qualities, and Experience:
1. Experience in the fitness industry.
2. Health and Fitness related qualification, including a basic understanding of Anatomy and Physiology.
3. Knowledge of Health and Safety.
4. Good oral communication and interaction skills.
5. Flexible approach to working hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
