A position has become available for a Tools Development Engineer. This is a great opportunity to work within the engineering function supporting the ramp up at the Broughton plant. Responsibilities Ensure successful industrialization of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting Projects (creation, development and modification) until final acceptance and handover to the corresponding Operations Team. Integrate mature industrial technologies in line with R&D. Collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and consolidate Airbus Industrial Vision. Design and/or specify the requested Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements. Contribute to CDT MFT for production investigations utilising tooling and metrology skillset. Tasks Qualified Jigs and Tools assets. Interpretation of aircraft design model and relay into operations and operational support. Definition of the certification, re certification, qualification and re-qualification process, features and schedule. Jigs and Tools Technical Assessments. Jigs and Tools Technical Acceptance Reports. Jigs and Tools assets Design and Manufacturing data set. Required Skills Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines and activities requiring technical skills and knowledge to make daily business decisions. Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design and other Business Information Systems. Experienced knowledge of aircraft production, and engineering methods and procedures. Understanding of relationships and interactions with other Manufacturing Engineering and Business functions. Leadership skills, and self-motivated are desirable.
