We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Road Logistics Healthcare Operations team in East Midlands Gateway. The team collaborates with customers, other Kuehne+Nagel offices, overseas agents, and service providers to ensure successful transportation and delivery of goods.
Your Role
Healthcare logistics involves ensuring medical supplies, equipment, and medications reach their destinations when needed. The team manages hundreds of road freight shipments for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients, completing operational duties according to specific instructions and customer procedures. Your Responsibilities
Our 24-month Apprenticeship program offers practical on-the-job training combined with study towards the Customer Service Level 3 Apprenticeship standard. You will work within a successful team, supported by peers, managers, and the apprenticeship team at Kuehne+Nagel. Over two years, you'll learn to:
* Understand Road Freight operations to handle inbound customer inquiries
* Provide accurate and timely information regarding shipments, orders, and services
* Understand customer needs to ensure efficient delivery and resolve issues
* Collaborate with internal teams for effective customer service
* Input customs information correctly and upload relevant documentation
* Complete GDP training and maintain data confidentiality
* Communicate with key contacts through various methods
* Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Your Skills and Experiences
The minimum entry requirement is five GCSEs at grades 3–9 / A*-D, including Maths & English. We value candidates passionate about customer service, with a strong work ethic and effective communication skills. Good planning and organization, multitasking, and self-motivation are important. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial. Note that this vacancy does not support visa sponsorship, and candidates must have resided in the EEA for at least three years.
