Job Opportunity: HR Manager/Business Partner
Ashley Kate is excited to be recruiting for our well-established manufacturing client to cover a period of Maternity Leave. They are seeking an HR Manager/Business Partner to be based at their Melton site (hybrid) for a minimum of 12 months.
The role will report to the global HR Director, with one direct report, and work alongside a wider HR team. The successful candidate will partner with the senior leadership team and a wide range of stakeholders within the business. This role will manage the overall HR function in a fast-paced, unionized environment, offering a variety of strategic and operational responsibilities.

The role includes:
1. Working with Directors to develop HR strategy and initiatives
2. Supporting and guiding Managers and Directors with day-to-day HR issues and employee relations
3. Reviewing, developing, and implementing new policies, procedures, and processes
4. Talent management and succession planning
5. Leading recruitment and selection activities
6. Managing change projects related to business restructuring, redundancies, and consultations
7. Analyzing HR metrics and reporting to SMT
8. Overseeing payroll
9. Negotiating and communicating with unions
To be considered, you should be an experienced HR Manager or Business Partner from a blue-collar background, with experience leading change projects and planning. You should be willing to be hands-on and operational, building relationships across all levels of the business with a people-focused mindset. CIPD qualification or working towards it is preferred.
