We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Strategic Cost Management to join our team. A bit about the job:
This role is crucial for identifying cost-saving opportunities, building execution plans, and tracking them through to realisation. You'll be working closely with Finance to ensure financial objectives are met while supporting broader corporate goals. As a key member of the Project River Finance leadership team, you'll lead the process of identifying opportunities, providing financial insights, and making strategic decisions to achieve cost synergies.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Post qualified experience within financial services (relevant Accountancy or Actuarial qualification)
* An experienced and credible senior finance professional with a strong commercial focus and proven experience in financial management, partnering with functions through change to deliver material cost savings
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive decision-making
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to cut through to the heart of issues and generate pragmatic solutions
* Proactive and results-oriented, with a strong drive and relentless focus for achieving measurable business outcomes. Collaborative and team oriented with strong interpersonal skills
What you’ll get for this role:
* Starting salary circa £120,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
* Bonus opportunity – 25% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
