Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to lead a residential home for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and SEMH needs in Ellesmere Port. This is a 3-month contract, with the opportunity to extend or transition to a permanent role based on performance and service requirements.
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted regulations, while leading a dedicated team of staff to provide therapeutic and child-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the home complies with Ofsted and Children's Homes Regulations
* Lead and motivate the team to deliver high-quality care for young people
* Oversee safeguarding, child protection, and behaviour support plans
* Manage individual care plans and risk assessments
* Develop strong relationships with young people, families, and external partners
* Handle staffing, budgets, rotas, and operational compliance
* Lead on crisis management and ensure continuous improvement within the service

Essential Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a senior role within EBD/SEMH or residential childcare
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services (or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Familiarity with Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
