This is a long-term, full-time role where your expertise and creativity will play a vital role in nurturing young learners during their critical development stage. This Year 1 class includes children with additional needs, requiring a teacher who is patient, empathetic, and clear in their communication. You will have the support of two dedicated Teaching Assistants who are highly skilled in providing one-on-one and small group support to ensure every child thrives. This role is perfect for someone who has high expectations for their pupils, can deliver creative and engaging lessons, and has a genuine passion for supporting every child to reach their full potential. Application Requirements: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 (Year 1 preferred). • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development. • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable. • Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive mindset. Key Responsibilities: • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons for Year 1 pupils. • Support children with additional needs, tailoring your teaching approach to ensure inclusion and progression. • Work closely with two Teaching Assistants to effectively manage small group interventions and individual support. • Set high expectations for behaviour, progress, and engagement in a nurturing classroom environment. • Use formative and summative assessments to track progress, provide constructive feedback, and inform lesson planning.
