We are looking for a kind, caring and well-organised Senior Support Worker to join our amazing team of carers within our Extra Care Unit in Ashford, Kent.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will support our residents to live more independently within their own homes. You will assist them with daily living tasks, including personal care, helping with domestic duties, cooking, or taking them out into the local community to help them stay independent and do the things they love.
Main responsibilities:
1. Support with personal care, meal preparation, shopping, light household duties, and assisting with medication.
2. Mentor new/existing care staff.
3. Deliver high-quality care to all residents.
4. Assist new residents in adapting to Extra Care living and manage theirs and their family’s expectations.
5. Proactively re-able residents and promote independence.
6. Support Team Leader and/or Branch/Registered Manager as required.
7. Assist with Care planning documentation ensuring notes and tasks are completed accurately and in line with Company Policy.
8. Deal with and arrange residents’ visits with professionals such as GPs, OTs, DNs, and other multi-disciplinary teams.
9. Be the ‘go-to’ person on duty for other carers.

10. Self-motivated and able to use your own initiative.
You will need to have a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care for this role.
The position is full-time Monday - Friday 7am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and alternate weekends.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK and undergo a full Disclosure and Barring Service process.
