The Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a Data Management Assistant to join our Data Management department in Edinburgh. As a Data Management Assistant, you will be providing essential administrative support to our Data Management team.
Data Sciences at Quotient Sciences comprises six departments (including Data Management) and over 100 staff and provides an expert service in the data management, analysis and reporting of early phase clinical studies.
Your key responsibilities will focus on providing administrative and data management support across a range of ongoing projects.
1. Providing administrative support to the Data Managers and perform data management activities using study databases, including the cross checking of data and extraction of data using Microsoft Excel.
2. Entering and updating data into a database test environment.
3. Writing of study reviews, using Microsoft Word.
4. Regularly update clinical study details on the overall Data Science master spreadsheet (Excel).
5. Provide general administrative support to the data management department.
6. Assist in the generation and co-ordination of archiving documents on assigned studies.
We use industry standard software and full training will be provided in our systems and data management procedures. Dependent on your development, our career pathway allows you to expand your role over time to perform other data management tasks and potentially progress to a more senior role.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have experience in an administrative or office support role.
While the role involves supporting clinical studies, the focus will be on data entry and general administrative duties. There is no need for clinical experience or a degree, just a strong desire to learn and develop your skills.
In addition, you should have good organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential.
Effective oral and written communication skills are also required. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
This is a hybrid role to be based in our Edinburgh office.
