We have an exciting opportunity to recruit to a specialist Band 6 post to work within the Medical Directorate within the Victoria Hospital in-patient areas. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled OT to work alongside colleagues within the medical team covering the medical, respiratory and medicine of elderly wards, primarily working within a range of specialist areas, including general medical, cardiology, respiratory and medicine of the elderly. There will also be a requirement to provide clinical cover for medical patients across the service. You will have a strong interest in working with patients to deliver effective evidenced based care to optimise their occupational performance and to promote safe and timely discharge from hospital. You will have a positive experience of managing their own case load and of multi agency working and will engage in quality improvement activities both collectively and independently. As a Band 6 you will be required to support and supervise registered and non-registered staff. The Occupational Therapy department supports continuing professional development through supervision, TURAS appraisal, in-service programme, and training. You should have the ability to travel throughout Fife effectively in a timely manner as required.
