About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to join one of clients, taking on a pivotal leadership role in delivering a large, high-profile construction project in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a landmark project that will shape the region's future.
You will be responsible for overseeing a significant construction package, ensuring the successful delivery of project milestones within budget, schedule, and quality parameters. Reporting directly to the Project Director on-site, you will manage and coordinate a team of Site and Package Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of the assigned construction package, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget.
2. Team Management: Lead and oversee a team of Site Managers and Package Managers, providing direction, mentorship, and support to achieve project objectives.
3. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and clear communication.
4. Planning & Execution: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
5. Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
6. Reporting: Regularly report on project progress, challenges, and opportunities to the Project Director and key stakeholders.
7. Problem-Solving: Proactively address and resolve project challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and budgets.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager on large-scale construction projects, preferably high-profile or complex developments.
2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
3. Excellent understanding of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
6. Relevant academic qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
