Job Title: Radioactive Waste Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to manage radioactive waste, stockpiles, and nuclear materials accountancy and safeguards on our LLWR Site.
The successful candidate will have a background in waste management, specifically in the characterization of radioactive waste. As a key member of our team, they will provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of radioactive waste management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage radioactive waste storage and disposal
* Conduct regular site audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Develop and implement strategies for improving waste characterization and minimization
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
* Provide training and support to colleagues on radioactive waste management procedures
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nuclear engineering, environmental science)
* Minimum 5 years of experience in waste management, preferably in a technical role
* Strong knowledge of radioactive waste regulations and guidelines
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
