A successful manufacturing business require a Buyer. An exciting end-to-end supply chain position, the Buyer will work across; purchasing, inventory control, planning and expediting.
The Buyer will join a busy and supportive procurement team, reporting into a Purchasing & Logistics Manager. A broad and exciting supply chain role, the Buyer will provide support to the business and team across all area of purchasing.
Specific duties of the Buyer include:
Management of Purchase Order process - raise and place purchase orders ensuring accuracy
Supplier interactions - ensure orders are confirmed and expedite overdue or late deliveries
Procurement - monitor MOQ, safety stock levels and re-order points.
Inventory Management - monitor stock and inventory levels, escalating shortages
Production Planning - Support Production Planning and liaise with subcontract partners
Process Improvement - look to improve processes across the purchasing and logistics function
Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:
Previous experience in a purchasing, materials, logistics or supply chain role
Exposure to an MRP/ERP system is advantageous
Communication and relationship building skills
Detailed and precise
Self-motivated and proactive
