Job Description Test Engineer / Electrical Test Engineer / PLC Test Engineer required to join a global engineering manufacturer. The successful Test Engineer / Electrical Test Engineer / PLC Test Engineer will be responsible for testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting high-pressure gas compression systems, perform testing, PLC programming plus conduct client-side Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) at the workshop in Sunderland. The Test Engineer / Electrical Test Engineer / PLC Test Engineer will ideally have demonstrated experience with high-pressure gas systems such as hydrogen, nitrogen, argon, oxygen, or compressed air. Proficiency in PLC systems (preferably Siemens) and strong electrical fault-finding skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams, are essential. Test Engineer / Electrical Test Engineer / PLC Test Engineer Requirements: • Proven experience as a Test Engineer, Electrical Engineer, PLC Engineer or similar specifically with gas systems. • Strong proficiency with PLC systems, ideally Siemens or similar such as Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Omron, Mitsubishi etc. • Demonstrated expertise in fault finding and troubleshooting electrical systems. • Electrical 18th Edition certification, Electrical qualification or equivalent. • Experience with high-pressure gas systems such as hydrogen, nitrogen, argon, oxygen, or compressed air. • Willingness to commute to Sunderland daily.
